Amid an already fragile ceasefire in Gaza, an Israeli airstrike on the city has killed four Palestinians.
Hamas condemned the attack as a direct violation of the ceasefire agreement, while Israel stated the strike targeted a senior Hamas leader, Rayed Saad, who was reportedly killed in the incident. Several others were injured, according to medical sources cited by Anadolu Agency.
The strike took place on Al-Rashid Coastal Road in western Gaza, hitting a civilian vehicle. The Israeli military confirmed that Rayed Saad, identified as Hamas’s second-in-command in the Gaza Strip, was the intended target. Israeli Army Radio had earlier broadcast that Saad was a top Hamas official in the region.
This latest incident raises tensions in Gaza, as it comes during a period of attempted truce, highlighting the fragility of the ongoing ceasefire.
